Ulster centre Jared Payne forced to retire from playing rugby but takes up role as defence coach

The New Zealand-born Ireland international centre failed to sufficiently recover from a head injury suffered while on tour with the Lions last summer and will immediately join the coaching staff at Ravenhill.
